Which Feature? Applying SwiftGrade in the Classroom

Choose the right SwiftGrade tool for each teaching situation

๐Ÿงฉ
Read each classroom situation below and select the SwiftGrade feature that best fits the teacher's need.
Situation 1Which Feature?

Ms. R has finished scanning all 34 answer sheets from her class test. The results are in โ€” but she doesn't want to just look at the overall average. She wants to know exactly which questions the class found most difficult so she knows what to reteach tomorrow.

Which SwiftGrade feature should she use?

๐Ÿ“Š Analysis โ€” Bell Indicators

SwiftGrade's Analysis view shows each question's accuracy as a percentage. Questions where fewer than half the class scored well are automatically flagged with a bell icon. Clicking on a flagged question shows exactly what answers learners gave โ€” and why they went wrong. This is how you pinpoint missing knowledge and build your reteaching plan.

The bell icons in Analysis are your reteaching to-do list. Use them to focus the next lesson rather than re-covering everything from scratch.
Situation 2Which Feature?

Mr. A teaches Natural Science to three different Grade 7 classes โ€” 7A, 7B, and 7D. He has already built a SwiftGrade assessment for 7D and set up the full memo. He doesn't want to go through the entire setup process again for his other two classes.

Which SwiftGrade feature should he use?

๐Ÿ“‹ Copy Assessment

The Copy feature lets you duplicate an existing assessment โ€” including the full memo โ€” into another class with a single click. SwiftGrade then generates new personalised answer sheets for those learners automatically. This is one of SwiftGrade's biggest time-savers when you teach the same subject across multiple classes.

After copying, double-check that the destination class has all its learners loaded first โ€” so the new answer sheets come out with the correct names.
Situation 3Which Feature?

Ms. N is reviewing her class's scanned results. She notices that one learner's fill-in-the-blank answer has been marked incorrect by SwiftGrade โ€” but when she clicks to view the photo of the answer, she can clearly see the learner wrote the right word. The AI simply misread the handwriting.

Which SwiftGrade feature should she use?

โœ๏ธ Manual Mark Override

SwiftGrade allows teachers to manually override any AI decision directly in the results view. When you click into a learner's answers and see a photo of what they wrote, you can change the mark for any individual question in seconds. This is exactly why SwiftGrade is recommended for formative assessment โ€” the teacher stays in control and has the final say.

Always check flagged responses and any fill-in-the-blank answers that seem unusually low. A quick review often reveals a correct answer the AI misread due to handwriting style.
Situation 4Which Feature?

Mr. B teaches Afrikaans and has built a detailed SwiftGrade assessment. His colleague Ms. G, who teaches the same subject at the same grade level, would like to use the exact same assessment with her own class โ€” but she is at a different school and cannot access his laptop.

Which SwiftGrade feature should Mr. B use?

๐Ÿ”— Share Assessment Link

The Share feature generates a unique link that can be sent to any colleague. When they click the link, SwiftGrade gives them their own copy of the assessment โ€” complete with the memo โ€” ready to use with their class. Optionally, they can agree to share their results statistics back, allowing you to view combined averages across multiple classes. This makes collaboration between subject teachers much more efficient.

Sharing assessments is especially powerful in grade-level teams โ€” one teacher builds the assessment, everyone benefits, and combined statistics give a richer picture of learner performance across the grade.
